Lucy Sessions holds a BA honours in Performance Art, and Creative Studies and has worked in the field of Arts Education for over 15 years. She is a professional singer, qualified teacher and experienced workshop leader.
Having taught in the UK for 10 years, she specialized with working with refugees, children with special educational needs and vulnerable people. She now designs and delivers workshops and retreats throughout Central America and Europe, which focus upon creative and expressive arts as a medium for personal development and transformation, with a particular focus on Singing.
Also qualified in Theta Healing, she has developed a form of therapy using the medium of song, singing and vocal improvisation to develop a practice that liberates the voice and facilliates a personal exploration of emotional blocks that can inhibit our sense of self expression, and by doing so, opens a space for deep healing.
Lucy Sessions is based in Mexico where she teaches regular vocal improvisation groups, private classes and performs throughout Mexico, Central America and Europe.
Grupo de Canto - Singing group
I teach techniques to understand, develop and improve the voice and how to use singing as a holistic practice. The group dynamic is very supportive and inclusive, using the session to relax, recharge and express ourselves. We sing songs from around the world, in a variety of languages, from African canons to Lakota chants, Gospel Spirituals to Soul classics.
A pleasure to welcome International Artist and Author Kiki Suarez and friends to my singing group. Here is a blog she kindly wrote about my class and the curative benefits of singing !
'How much fun is it to Learn with Lucy? To find your own voice and strengthen it, while creating harmonies with body and soul...to build confidence and share so many good times with others...to feel such gratitude for this unique opportunity - to Sing the Songs of LIFE! YESSSS!!!!'

One to One personal tuition
I deliver one to one personal classes, tailor made to suit the needs of the individual. Working to develop the understanding of the voice, tone, projection, breath work, presence, expression and confidence. These sessions are also suitable for anyone using the voice within their work, ie teachers and public speakers and those experiencing 'voice blocks'.
'I am honoured to have the opportunity to sing with Lucy Sessions. With her gentle persuasive encouragement my voice finds itself, comes forth, and even plays!
Her knowledge and skill have masterfully opened a place inside that has longed to come forth all of my life.
My deepest gratitude to Lucy as a professional singer who truly desires ALL of us to sing together.....so rare in a culture that only honours those with gifted voices.
Thank you, Lucy'

I deliver workshops across Central America and the UK. The nature and focus of the workshops are to cultivate an understanding of the voice and how the development of it can enhance our lives. Sometimes collaborating with other holistic practitioners and teachers, I combine singing exercises with yoga, meditation, Tai chi, mindfulness and creative writing practices, to deliver courses with a focus on personal development and singing for well-being.
'Gracias por tu luz. Gracias por este mágico encuentro. Gracias por enseñarme luz dentro de mi. Por enseñarme a dejar salir mi voz. Por hacerme sentir como nunca antes. Por darme la ayuda para sanar. Gracias por hacer que por primera vez sienta mi voz salir como luz de mi ser. Gracias por tu sensibilidad. Por ser un ser tan hermoso y tan especial. Doy gracias al Universo por habernos cruzado en el camino! Lucy Sessions'
